About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team who is compassionate with a patient-focused attitude. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians to document patient encounters in real time, ensuring accurate and thorough medical records. This role is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare careers, especially those pursuing nursing pathways.
Responsibilities
· Document patient visits, including medical history, physical exams, diagnoses and treatment plans.
· Enter information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system accurately and efficiently.
· Assist physicians with chart preparation, test ordering, and patient flow management.
· Transcribe procedures, lab results, and prescriptions into patient charts.
· Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare staff.
· Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare regulations.
· Support billing documentation when required.
· Maintain exam room cleanliness.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in healthcare preferred.
· Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
· Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Prior experience in medical scribing is a plus.
