Cleaner

The Cleaner provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area. Pay rate: $16.50 an hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. Basic qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

This position is for custodial services at a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, only members of the Church who are endowed and have a current temple recommend qualify for employment for this specific position. Responsibilities:

• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures.
• May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
• Cleans glass doors.
• Must keep janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
