EMTs must be willing to attend or have attended an EMT class approved by the State of Iowa. He/she must be/ become Basic Life Support (BLS) certified. Job Schedule: There is no set schedule for the variable position, with up to 12 hours of work per week, and one weekend shift required every eight weeks. EMTs are available on-call 24/7, and the call schedule is flexible to accommodate other work or school commitments.
