Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and reconciliation of accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency with various operating systems, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor incoming payments using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Dynamics 365
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of receivables and identify discrepancies
• Manage the revenue cycle including billing, collections, and follow-up on overdue accounts
• Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions in compliance with GAAP and SOX standards
• Conduct analysis of accounts to identify trends or issues affecting cash flow
• Maintain detailed records of transactions through data entry and bookkeeping practices
• Communicate effectively with clients or vendors regarding payment status via phone or written correspondence, demonstrating strong phone etiquette and negotiation skills
• Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing reports on receivables and aging analysis

Qualifications

• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Dynamics 365. Experience with revenue management is a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting concepts
• Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation and data accuracy
• Maintain high levels of accuracy in bookkeeping tasks
• Strong communication skills for customer service interactions and negotiation related to collections or dispute resolution
• Experience with financial analysis, journal entries, accounts payable processing, and general ledger activities is desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus
