Test Vehicle Operator(Field Data Collection)
Location: Dallas, TX
Pay: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time (30+ hours/week)
Contract Length: 1 year

About the Role
We’re looking for skilled and safety-focused drivers to join our autonomous vehicle testing team in Dallas, TX. As a Safety Driver, you’ll operate self-driving vehicles in real-world conditions, monitor performance, and provide feedback to engineers to help improve vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive autonomous vehicles safely, following all traffic laws and company rules.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and prepare vehicles for testing.
• Monitor vehicle systems and report performance or safety issues.
• Work with engineers and operations teams to share feedback.
• Stay alert and aware at all times during long driving shifts.
• Maintain professionalism and follow safety standards in all conditions.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no DUIs or drug/alcohol offenses in the last 5 years).
• Experience as an AV operator, instructor, or professional driver preferred.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Able to stay focused for 4–8 hours of driving per day.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Comfortable driving in all weather and traffic conditions.
• Flexible schedule (shifts between 6 AM and 11 PM, weekdays and weekends).

Preferred

• Defensive or safe driving certification.
• Experience with ADAS or autonomous vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with Linux or vehicle diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshooting skills
• App driving experience(Uber, Lyft, Doordash, etc)
