Overview Position: Solar Panel Installer - Part Time Location: Tonawanda, NY Compensation: $30.00-$50.00 based on experience NOCO Solar is a growing renewable energy provider committed to delivering high-quality solar installations to residential customers across Western New York. We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Solar Panel Installer to support our busy season with hands-on leadership and quality workmanship. As an Installer, you’ll be responsible for performing on-site solar PV installations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to code. Responsibilities Participate in the full installation of residential and light commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems. Interpret and execute project plans, layouts, schematics, and electrical diagrams provided by the engineering team. Ensure that racking, modules, inverters, conduit, and other system components are installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes. Conduct quality checks at each stage of the installation to confirm work meets company and code standards. Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges related to electrical or structural aspects of the system. Verify system integrity and perform initial system commissioning when required. Implement and enforce all safety protocols, including fall protection, electrical safety, and equipment usage. Ensure that the job site is clean, organized, and hazard-free at all times. Document incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and communicate them promptly to supervisors.
