Join Mastercard as a Senior Managing Consultant in Services Business Development Retail. This role is part of the Services team that fuels growth for our Retail partners globally by providing cuttingedge solutions in Customer Acquisition and Engagement, Business Experimentation, Personalization, Market Insights, Security Solutions and Open Banking.

Job Summary

As a Senior Managing Consultant in Retail, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of our Retail segment in the United States. You will manage strategic client relationships, generate qualified leads, and promote Mastercards products and services to extend revenue relationships over time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with clients, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement while driving revenue growth and expanding buying centers.
  • Initiate contact with new prospects to generate and qualify leads, building on an existing network of Retail relationships.
  • Adopt a customerfirst attitude, uncovering customer needs beyond explicit requests and crafting innovative strategies.
  • Own the sales process from prospecting to executing commercial contracts, ensuring seamless sales cycles and driving urgency with clients.
  • Achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and sales projections, consistently delivering outstanding personal performance.
  • Lead formal and informal pitches, from storyboarding to facetoface presentations, delivering concise and persuasive materials tailored to the audience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine engagement scope, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client requirements.
  • Support project/customer success teams in problemsolving efforts and structuring project workplans.
  • Create and deliver compelling, concise presentations that effectively communicate key insights and recommendations.
  • Coach and provide valuable feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Proactively seek new knowledge and skills, contributing to the development of intellectual capital within our organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, commerce, economics, finance, marketing, management, systems engineering or related field.
  • Preferred: MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree.
  • Demonstrated excellence and career development in a B2B consultative sales role.
  • Expertise in selling with retailers, with a strong network of existing Retail client relationships.
  • Proven selfstarter with a record of success in a teamoriented environment.
  • Experience selling solutions to Clevel clients.
  • Exceptional relationshipmanagement skills, fostering longterm partnerships.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, enabling you to tackle complex challenges.
  • Experience managing projects and teams, showcasing leadership abilities.
  • Technical fluency, comfortably navigating technology solutions and confidently discussing industry trends.
  • Proven ability to influence internal and external stakeholders across markets and divisions.
  • High energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment.
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.

Corporate Security Responsibility

  • Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercards guidelines.

Compensation & Benefits

In line with Mastercards total compensation philosophy, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions. Benefits for fulltime employees include medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave), 80 hours of paid sick and safe time, 25 days of vacation and 5 personal days prorated based on hire date, 10 U.S. paid holidays, 401(k) with bestinclass match, deferred compensation for eligible roles, fitness reimbursement or onsite facilities, tuition reimbursement and more. Interns receive 56 hours of paid sick and safe time, jury duty leave and, in some locations, onsite fitness facilities.
