Parkwest Casino is bringing a fresh face to the casino industry. To help aid in the creation of this new casino culture, Parkwest Casino is looking to hire a security guard. Our Security Guards are responsible for providing a safe environment by ensuring the security of the casino, employees, and the guests. A successful Security Guard will possess keen observation skills and understand the basic card room games while demonstrating a high level of customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures. Responsibilities Security Guards are expected to have a valid BSIS guard card. Operate a surveillance system quickly and effectively. Write accurate and detailed reports. Count chips with a limited number of mistakes. Provide excellent guest service and help reach the next level of customer service. Work any shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Qualifications High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent. Open availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be 21 years old. Must possess a valid California Guard Card. Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge, or license. Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S. Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background check, and credit check. Physical and Mental Requirements Lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds. Sit, walk, stand, and bend at the neck for 6 or more hours a day. Perform repetitive hand movements: simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling, and reaching for an entire shift. May be exposed to excessive noise, dust, gas, flames, chemicals, and extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness. Perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
