Job Description
The Sanitation Worker is responible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all production equipment, tools, and work areas are properly cleaned and sanitized in compliance with GMP, HACCP, and company safety standards.
salary: $19.5 - $19.51 per hour
shift: Third
work hours: 7 PM - 3 AM
education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize machinery, equipment, & tools after production runs to meet food cleanliness standards.
Clean up spills including those containing the possibility/probability of blood-borne pathogens. Pick up & remove trash from receptacles. Sweep & mop facility. Clean & sanitize restrooms and cafeteria.Report any food safety or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Follows J&J Snack Food's Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
Follows all OSHA safety rules and all food safety laws and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
The essential functions of this role include:
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 10 hours at one time
- working up to 6 hrs of overtime per week
