\nJob Title: Localization Editor II (Latin-American Spanish)
\nJob Summary: The Localization Editor (Latin-American Spanish) is a core member of the Editing team. This position works closely with fellow editors, translators, project coordinators, and members of various departments on all editorial facets of Pokémon products. This includes maintaining factual accuracy, brand accuracy, and impeccable grammatical standards for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, animated series, movies, official website, apps such as Pokémon GO , and other materials in the localization editor’s language of expertise. This requires high-level knowledge of the grammar and vocabulary of the language of expertise, including slang, phraseology, and other nuances.

What you’ll do
\nTranslate, edit, review, and proof a variety of company-wide materials.
\nEdit for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and slang.
\nEnsure consistency in style and terminology.
\nAdapt European Spanish text information to suit the needs of various audiences in the Latin-American markets.
\nReview, revise, and proofread soft and hard copy.
\nCollaborate with fellow editors, along with various other department members, such as translators, designers, and project coordinators.
\nReport regularly on project status and progress to the Manager, Localization Editing (Latin-American Spanish).

What you’ll bring
\nThree (3) to four (4) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
\nBachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
\nDemonstrated ability to translate, edit, revise, or rewrite text-based content in language of expertise.
\nNative-speaker level in language of expertise and fluency in English are required.
\nMust be detail oriented.
\nAbility to multitask and prioritize.
\nAble to work flexibly in an environment that features tight deadlines and shifting schedules.
\nPerform well in a fast-paced environment.
\nExcellent organizational and communication skills.
\nAbility to learn how to use specialized technical programs quickly.
\nMust be a team player.
\nPokémon brand knowledge is a plus.
\nKnowledge of RWS Trados Enterprise is a plus.
\nExperience in the gaming industry is a plus.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $78,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year. The full range is $78,000.00 - $118,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
