Description: Full-time Legal Assistant/Receptionist
Job Responsibilities:
· Assist with drafting of pleadings for Small Claims/Evictions, Real Estate, Guardianships
· Correspondence to court, scheduling court dates
· Substantial client contact, including telephone, email and written correspondence
· Maintain organization of client files and note important deadline
· Manage attorney’s calendar and arrange appointments and telephone conferences with clients and guests following the Standard Operating Procedure.
· Electronically file documents with the Court
· Arrange for proper service of documents with Process Servers
· Various other tasks around the office as may be needed, including answering phones, greeting clients, and mailing out client bills on a monthly basis
Skills/Qualifications: Telephone Skills, scheduling, typing, conference calls, drafting of legal pleadings, organization, excellent verbal and written communication, dependability, availability, attention to detail, multitasking, etc.
Must be professional and personable and be able to manage a high paced environment
Hours : 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
