JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: International Flight Clearance Coordinator
Department: Flight Operations Support
Reports To: Manager, International Flight Clearance
SUMMARY:
Accepts flight requirements from management/sales, coordinates with internal departments, obtains necessary rights and permits, ensures flight routing and permit reliability, and presents a complete trip package to flight following for use in managing the actual flight/series of flights.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Applicants must be prepared to work all shifts; including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. Must have good working knowledge of world geography, air cargo, and aircraft ground operations. Must possess exceptional attention to detail and abstract problem solving capabilities. Experience in a flight dispatch center helpful. FAA Dispatcher’s license desirable, but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to convert between different units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
