• Location: Hybrid – NY / NJ (some in-person presence required)

• Employment Type: W2 only  

• Work Style: Fast-paced, daily delivery cadence

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineer to support a high-visibility enterprise AI initiative. This role focuses on building and wiring the application layer around an internal AI system , including frontend chat UI, backend APIs, and integration with Azure AI services.

This is a builder role — not advisory, not architecture-only.

Required Technical Experience

Candidates must have recent, production experience with most of the following:

Frontend

• React (or similar modern JavaScript framework)

• Building chat-style user interfaces

• Handling loading states, errors, and message history

Backend / APIs

• Building REST APIs (Node.js, Python, or similar)

• Managing request/response logic and conversation state

• Integrating backend services with frontend applications

AI Integration

• Calling AI / LLM APIs (Azure OpenAI or similar)

• Handling streaming responses, retries, timeouts, and errors

• Passing retrieved content into AI calls (chat-style workflows)

Authentication & Security

• Experience with authentication and authorization

• Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD experience is a strong plus

Engineering Expectations

• Able to debug across frontend, backend, and API layers

• Comfortable committing code daily

• Able to work independently with minimal hand-holding

Nice-to-Have (Not Required)

• Azure App Service or Azure Functions

• Application Insights or logging/telemetry tools

• Experience working with AI or data engineers

What This Role Is NOT

• Not a data engineer role

• Not an AI governance or strategy role

• Not a PM or architect-only role

This is a hands-on engineering role .
