Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated and talented Experienced Thermal Analysis Engineer to support our Thermal Engineering Team in Berkeley, MO. Position Responsibilities: Thermal Project Management Thermal Finite Element Modeling Air Flow Distribution Modeling Liquid Flow Distribution Modeling Cooling System Performance Analysis Thermal Requirements Management & Coordination Cooling System Lab Test Planning & Support Flight Testing Planning & Support Component Qualification Test Support and Documentation Conceptual Thermal Design Development This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters OR a PhD Experience with Thermal Analysis Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in Finite Element Thermal software (Thermal Desktop/Sinda Preferred) Experience with 1-D flow analysis using Amesim or Flowmaster Experience with computer programming languages (Fortran, Python, Matlab, C#) Good written and verbal communication skills for customer facing role Knowledge of airplane operating environments Familiarity with Military Handbook Climactic Data and Environmental Testing Knowledge of Aircraft Environmental Control System performance Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
