Acting Instructor (Neuroradiology) University of Washington, Seattle, WA The Department of Radiology at the University of Washington is recruiting for a full-time, non-tenured faculty member at the level of Acting Instructor to join an academic group comprised of 18 neuroradiology faculty and nine fellows. Responsibilities include clinical coverage of the diagnostic neuroradiology service, instruction of medical students, residents and fellows, and pursuit of academic interests. Acting instructors function as attending radiologists in the reading room and on-call. They receive one non‑clinical (academic) weekday per week for research or other academic activities. The neuroradiology section provides clinical coverage and teaching at three medical centers (University of Washington, Harborview, Northwest, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center), all with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including eight 3 Tesla and five 1.5 Tesla MR systems, six 64‑detector multidetector CT scanners, two dedicated neurointerventional suites and two PET‑CT. The Department also has an extensive imaging research lab that includes two dedicated whole‑body research 3T MR magnets. Candidates should possess or be eligible for full medical licensure in Washington State. Candidates must have completed a neuroradiology fellowship in an accredited program and be CAQ‑certified or eligible in neuroradiology. Candidates will be expected to perform clinical work in all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology. The successful candidate should have demonstrated commitment to an academic career as documented through peer‑reviewed publications and presentations at regional and national meetings.
