Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Accountant. This position is responsible for managing the firm's incoming payments and ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining cash flow and financial health via collection and account reconciliation functions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external clients to resolve issues and ensure prompt payment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and follow up with clients via phone and email.
  
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  
• Research billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable activity.
  
• Assist with month-end closing and reporting processes.
  
   

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  
   
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
  
   
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  
   
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  
   
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
